FAQ

What is a cat cafe?

A cat cafe is a place where you can hang out with adoptable cats and get to know their personality while enjoying your favorite drinks.

WHY IS THERE AN ENTRY FEE?

Since 100% of the adoption fees go to Colony Cats, entry fee is a big portion of our funding to support a relaxing, clean and safe space for both cats and humans.

Do I need to buy tickets in advance?

Purchasing tickets in advance is not required; however we highly recommend it, due to the fact that we only allow a small number of people into our cat lounge at a time. We cannot accept walk-ins when we are at max capacity.

When are the cats the most active?

Cats are hard to predict, but most often times they’re more active during the first two morning sessions. Occasionally the cats will get energized again for the last couple of sessions, but it’s not always a guarantee. To get more playful energy out of the cats, booking a morning session is usually the best bet. For a more laid back, sleepy session, anytime in the afternoon is the best time.

I have a ticket for (xx:xx) time but I’m running late! Will I still be allowed in the lounge?

Yes, we will hold your spot for the time slot you have booked. However, we cannot extend your time past your booked session. (Ex. If you book a 7pm-8pm session and arrive at 7:30pm, you will only be allowed to stay until 8pm)

I missed/forgot my session time. Am I able to reschedule my visit or receive a refund

We are sorry you missed your time in the Lounge, however we do not provide refunds/reschedule if there is a no show without cancellation or you contacted us after your session start time. Please email us at meow@kittybubblecafe.com for less than 24 hours cancellations/reschedules.

Are children allowed to come to Kitty Bubble Cafe & Bar?

The cat longue is limited to ages 6 & up ONLY! Minimum 1 adult per every 3 children if 12 yrs old & under. Each kid will have 3 warnings. After the third time, unfortunately, due to the safety reasons and other customer’s experience, we will have to end your session. Tickets are required for each adult and child.

Do you do birthday parties/private parties?

We do not have any specials for birthdays. If you are looking for a private “party” in the cat lounge, you will need to book all 14 spots. Please note that our guest limit and child policies will still be in place. No Swapping allowed. We will also look to maintain a calm environment with our cat area rules. You are able to bring in cake or other food for your time on the café side. We require that you clean it up afterward and please do not move tables. For the larger group, please only use the bench side in the café. So the other customer will not be blocked in.

What if I’m allergic to cats?

That’s okay! Our cafe is completely separate from the Cat Lounge by glass. We have a separate HVAC system, meaning those who suffer from allergies can hang out in the cafe, enjoy kitty watches, and do NOT need to pay a cat lounge fee. How nice it is, Wow!!!!

Is it clean to make drinks and food with cats?

The cafe area is separated by glass from the cat lounge. The ventilation systems are separate from each other.

How many cats are at Kitty Bubble Cafe & Bar?

We typically have around 20 cats in our Cat Lounge at one time. All of our cats come from Colony Cats (& dogs).

Can I bring my own cat to the cafe with me?

We do not allow the bringing of your own cat to our cafe. Doing so can be stressful on your cat, as they do not normally like strange locations. Our little fur friends at Kitty Bubble are waiting for your attention!

Do you accept cats from the public?

Due to the safety issue of cats in the cafe, we do not accept cats from the public. If you have a cat to surrender or found a stray cat and you don’t know what to do, please contact our partner rescue Colony Cats (& dogs) at intake@colonycats.org.

What vetting have the cats at Kitty Bubble received?

All cats have been blood tested for FELV, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks/parasites, and spayed or neutered. Per the rescues Kitty Bubble Cafe & Bar works with, the cats have been deemed healthy to the best of their knowledge.

What is FIV? Can FIV-negative and FIV-positive cats live together?

Feline immunodeficiency virus typically causes a weakening of the cat’s immune system. FIV- & FIV+ cats can live together, as long as the cats get along and do not fight. For more information please visit Best Friends Animal Society – FIV Facts.

Do you take donations?

Yes, however we do not take monetary donations. We currently only accept physical donations; wet food, litter, new cat toys, cleaning supplies, etc. For a full list of acceptable donations, please check out our Amazon Wishlist!
